Le chanteur-guitariste américain Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom…)  vient de sortir  Cut To The Core Vol. 1,  une compilation de reprises de morceaux hardcore/post-hardcore 90s.  Avec des morceaux comme « Windows » (Snapcase), « Fall On Proverb » (Unbroken) ou « Farewell Note To This City » (Converge), Brodsky rend hommage à ses racines musicales.

L’ensemble est enregistré de façon majoritairement acoustique, remanié et repensé : « ce n’est pas un simple copier-coller, mais une réinterprétation intime du hardcore. »
